About Me
My name is Mandy Hansen. I am an American concept artist and animator currently based in Toronto, Canada, where I am completing a post-graduate animation certificate at Sheridan College.
I am a generalist with a focus on visual development and 3D animation. I aspire to design and animate for films, shows, and projects all over the world while continuing to explore my own artistic direction. I have also worked extensively as a freelance illustrator.
Through my studies, I’ve worked across the full animation pipeline, from concept to final render. I’m particularly drawn to the concept and animation stages, where experimentation and nuance play a key role in storytelling. I also directed a 30 second animated short in a one-week time frame. During this, I found that teaching and managing a team to see a similar vision and work autonomously in a style I was directing inspired me even more.
